The Linebacker-class Light Cruiser is the pinnacle of contemporary ship design, employing a variety of offensive and defensive subsystems to counter and defeat any obstacle it might encounter. Developed around the Mythos-1M engine, the raw power drives a top-of-the-line shielding system designed to give complete coverage as well as offering the best defensive power available. Powering not only the shield stystem, two Aegis Aniti-Missile Arrays are present, diverting power to prototype naval energy weapons for offensive capabilites.

Standard armament consists of one high-caliber naval cannon and a naval autocannon, both firing cobalt-core ammunition. Two secondary energy weapon systems are present as well for long-range maval engagements. A high-capacity VLRS system provides the main armament of the ship, striking deep into the heart of enemy vessels.

Defensive subsystems consist of the main shield array as well as several secondary emitters in order to provide the best defensive abilities around. LAMS systems are present to destroy incoming missiles as well as comprhensive anti-laser coverage. Several layers of armor serve as an effecitve last-resort should any system fail in battle keeping sensitive machinery intact.

An augmented FDD AI suite is present allowing for smart targeting and enhanced navigation capabilites. A comprehensive complement of repair drones exists to maintain the vessel and quickly repair any damage the ship shoud stustain.
