Note: this version still works, for the most part, but its automated mining capabilities no longer work due to cargo now contributing to ship mass, so a single ion thruster won't cut it. See the above link for a version that's up to date.

Wolf Industries is proud to present to you the Advanced Miner. What makes it advanced, you say? Here are all its advanced features:

1. Able to drill straight through an asteroid and out the other side without taking any damage whatsoever, or back out without damage.
2. Able to be operated both as a drone and piloted.
3. Able to be set to mine and then left alone; it will mine straight through the asteroid and stop automatically on the other side.
4. Full oxygen system, with onboard oxygen generator.
5. Full conveyor system with Connector. All drills, reactors, and cargo containers are plumbed in.
6. All components are recessed and protected by heavy armor. No protruding pieces to snag or get damaged.
7. Tapered edges to help avoid getting stuck.
8. Survival and first-person only mode ready! Forward, rear, and docking cameras.

Specs:
6 Drills
8 Thrusters up / down / left / right to counter drill torque
3 Forward Thrusters (2 for maneuvering, one for thrust override)
2 Reverse Thrusters
2 Gyroscopes
All components recessed within heavy armor hull to protect them from bump damage.

Recommended use: pilot it to an asteroid, start the drills and get a stable drilling point, then turn on Thrust Override and get out. Retrieve the drone (either remotely or manually) once it comes out the other side. Need oxygen? Mine some ice and your onboard oxygen generator will refill.
