Maces are good, yes, but what about true blunt hammers? Warhammers are very heavy and you can't take a shield or use magic (if you weren't in Oblivion, of course).

Mod adds 8 One Handed Hammers into Skyrim.
There is Iron, Steel, Dwemer, Elven, Orcish, Glass, Ebony and Daedric hammers. Hammers get more damage than maces,but they are slower than the original maces.
They can be crafted, bought or found by enemies.

Try with this mode:
One hand Hammers - Dawnguard
One hand Hammers - Dragonborn
OR
One hand Hammers - ALL
