(CA) - UGF Typhoon

Description
(CA) Cruiser Assault - Heavy Cruiser

The UGF Typhoon is a rebuild of the old "Hand of Fate" hull. Rebuilt to accommodate the newest in life support and heavy weaponry, the Typhoon is a light armored cruiser, built to deal swift punishment to any threat, any where, any time. With a complete medical suite and a full communications array, the Typhoon can fit into multiple roles, from flagship to forward assault, and more.

The UFG Typhoon is outfitted with a fully integrated oxygen/ammo container system, delivering the necessary resources to wherever, as well as delivering vital oxygen throughout the vessel. The Typhoon is also fitted with a single scout hangar, allowing it further range with a scout vessel of most sizes and dimensions.

The Typhoon's power comes from its Tri-Focal Artillery Cannon, located forward of the main bridge. Minotaur double-cannons, stationed across the port and starboard of the lower forward section and on top of the upper forward section, give the Typhoon plenty of firepower no matter where the enemy is located. Four Rampage Missile turrets forward of the hanger and six Quad-Cannons give the Typhoon protection from small vessels and small capital ships, from frigates to corvettes.

While everything has been upgraded, the Az - Andromeda Fusion Reactor has proven, time and time again, to be the powerplant of choice. It is no wonder that the Typhoon inherited the original powerplant from its older relative, the "Hand of Fate"". Four powerful Industrial Inc. Ion Thrusters drive the Typhoon, two housed in protective armored thruster pods, while smaller Vannillya Ion thrusters give the Typhoon pitch, roll, and yaw for necessary maneuvers.

This is a rebuilt of the "Hand of Fate" ship, reclassified as a cruiser, and rebuilt to cut down on mods and utilize Oxygen. There is no assembler nor a refinery, as this ship was made with military in mind. While mods are still needed, you may use this ship without the weapon mods, leaving only the Azimuth reactor and the Sage's Industrial Thruster mods, and even then, with a few modifications, you can still use vanillia blocks in place, though I fear the lack of power one large reactor can give would be an issue. That is why I placed six batteries within to compensate, just in case.

As with the "Hand of Fate", the ship is outfitted with light armor, but I have now added small heavy armor plates in certain areas. The most significant is across the bottom of the ship itself. This means the ship will take longer to accelerate, but the loss is not much. While I know of many and easy ways to create automated airlocks, none exist here, so please, remember to depressurize the airlock rooms before entering and leaving the ship/hanger.

Mods:

Sage's Industrial Thrusters
OKI Weapons
Azimuth Industrial Mega Mod
Large Ship Railguns - Just one is located at the tip of the (top) bow of the ship.
Minotaur Cannon
MWI - Main Battleship Cannon Mk 3

Notes: Removal of all mod weapons is simple. Just remove them. The result will be connector hardpoints for your convenience.

The ship includes two programmable blocks for whatever, and a remote control block. While many blocks in the panel are given proper Port/Starboard designations, anything from the original "Hand of Fate" ship retains their old Left/Right naming scheme, even though they are incorrect if naval terms are preferred for space.

There is no exterior connector. I expect that a small cargo vessel would come in to drop off supplies, and the hanger can accommodate one with ease.

The Captain's Quarters is bare, leaving it up to your choice, with a single unconnected cargo container for your convenience. The dorms still exist, again, stripped of modded blocks for your open choice of whatever. The Mess Hall is the same.
