Thanks for feedback. I will go through and fix any bugs or things that don't work as they should today. As far as being too Goo favored, I can easily remove some spigots here & there to balance that out.
Just a heads up to everybody in how I like for map making to work...
I try my best to come up with creative themes (or at least I like different themes.) and make maps that look good. As far as fine tuning balance goes, it's helpful when I can get the top pro's opinion on balance. From there I fine tune. Once that's completed the goal is to have a fun, interesting, good looking map that plays fair to all sides. I make several revisions to my maps in order to always improve them to what the community wants.
Dot, lets test this one out further on your stream hopefully this next week.
Thanks, Suds
I really like how it looks, really cool! Now for balance... I can't say much, I think its fine... Its weird to have refs in front but should work. I cant spot any weird imbalances straight away for any race. The massive amounts of +8 you can get on this map might cause some issues though, but I really dont know as Ive never experienced it yet.
And btw, I did not know that you could make spigots start with 0 resources. Is it possible to make them grow later on as well? ... cuz this could be an interesting element in some maps. Close to HQ spigots that need to grow first. However, this one seems unintended... the lower right spigot is empty and the one in topleft is not.
