Welcome to Distrikt 3 - A Dying Light Mod - v 0.01
- this version is customised for the Beyond Dying Light competition
- (conversations have been cut and can be viewed in the quests tab)
- next version will include conversations and be moved away from the example map name
- go to QUESTS to view full story
- you can either follow the QUESTS or ZIPLINE around and explore

Distrikt 3 was once a farming and research colony established for the most bright minded individuals.
In 2020, the global outbreak begun, a year later, society was completely destroyed.
Many were seeking refuge in isolated communities like this.
In 2025, 5 years after the global contamination, Distrikt 3 was a safe refuge for many by the army. This was a thriving community until things went bad very quickly.
The army leader Cyrus quickly took over, and became a dictator. Some of his favorite activities were murder and rape. This was until a contaminated soldier brought over the virus. . . .
It is now .15 years later . . . (2040)
You are Travis. This used to be your home.
Travis: I had some of my army mates parachute me in. I missed my mark and landed outside. I know this place is highly isolated from the outside world, but I have to find a way inside.
Travis: Last time I was here was 15 years ago, and I was 10, so was my sister, who is the reason why Im here.
Travis: Samantha sent me a letter saying that our parents died. Thank god I managed to make it home, the world is a different place nowadays.

The map in itself is good, ut sometimes a little bit weird in architecture (for example buildings that couldn't physically stand and would just crumble irl). Overall the map itself looks nice, but you definetly need to work on the storyline. It goes from 'get me my laptop' to 'thanks for getting my laptop! my dog ran off, could you fetch him?' Also how you are introduced to every other character is a bit... spontaneous, but i understand that this is a very early version of the map (and i also don't know how hard it is to make quests/maps in dying light). I recommend you get someone to filter all the typo's in your quests, as there are some in there.
