The Predvestnik Battleship was designed mainly as a shock-and-awe warship in response to heightened tensions between Volkhov space and her neighbors, featuring four Tri-gun turreted main cannons in a style popular in the twentieth century on earth. Each of the four turrets can be fired individually, or as a devastating broadside with a total of twelve rounds being fired at once. The ship features slightly above average acceleration for her class, and a good captain will try to keep targets off the port or starboard bows, so that all four turrets have a good firing angle. Each turret can rotate 180 degrees laterally, and 25 degrees vertically.

In addition to the main weapons, the ship features eight missile turrets and 23 gatling turrets for anti-fighter/ support fire. The CIC features four large control sations for each of the turrets, a tertiary helm, and miscellaneous seating and consoles for more control. The exposed glass flight deck is mainly used for patrols and low risk flights, while combat operations should be conducted from the armoured secondary bridge or the centrally located CIC on the lower decks.

Because she was designed mainly for broadside firing, the armour is thickest and heaviest along the port and starboard sides, with the ventral armour being the weakest. The ship is fully piped for oxygen, and each of the lateral airlocks has a button by the door that depressurizes the room. By default the world should load with the airlocks depressurized.

In case of severe battle damage the ship is equipped with a sizable compliment of emergency batteries as an emergency reserve.

As one of the most self sufficient ships in the Volkhov fleets, the Predvestnikclass comes equipped with minimal refinery capabilities, and moderate assembly areas.


As always, my lights are grouped by region for ease of customization, all reachable parts of the ship have a comfortable dorsal down 0.7 Gs of gravity, and the primary functions are loaded into bridge seats. In addition both the bunk room and shower room have their own button to turn their lights on and off.

When flying, I strongly recommend maximizing the downward velocity on all the pitch turrets, otherwise they will flap around. Each set of guns is grouped so they can be turned on or off, in the default position they will hit each other when fired so I recommend turning the guns off until you're ready to shoot. All the groups associated with turrets are named with it's location:

TA is top aft, TMA is top middle aft, TMB is top middle bow, and TB is top bow.

Each turret control seat is named with the gun you're manning.


Buttons:
1. Rotate turret left
2. Cease rotation.
3. Rotate turret right
4. Turret pitch down
5. Cease pitch change
6. Turret pitch right
7. Weapon select
8. Weapon group fire once
9. Targeting camera

Once aimed, hitting key 8 will fire only the guns mounted on that turret. I have action keys 1-9 grouped to my numpad, this control set up feels very natural and easy to use efficiently.

All large calibre weapons on my ships will continue to either be fixed, or on player built turrets.

There's also an 11" gun from Trevish. I find his weapons to be very well-balanced.

Thanks! Not using Mexpex's mod pack is intentional, even though the game is too early for a real sense of balance, to me both his and Oki's pack are way too powerful. I actually use TVSI diamond glass in the ship, I can't believe I didn't switch the bridge out when I did the refit.... Whoops. That one was definitely an accident, I'll update soon

Also TVSI-Tech's Diamond Bonded Glass. Eliminate your ship's one weakness while still keeping that beautiful bridge of yours.

Heya! Love your work with Dwarf lord, it's always interesting to see adaptations!

For the turrets, I started with a much more artistic design on this ship's predecessor, but I was never happy with their durability, I ended up staying with this design for the ability to take quite a few rocket hits without failing and the camera placement allowing for shockingly easy aiming.
