Description
Conversion/remake of the by GaZu modified 8 player map for Coh1 Day-D

- Popcap 195 (can be changed with mods)
- Day/night cycle
- Forward Hq and troop training ability unlocked
- Manpower income increased to fit the high popcap
- Machinegunners can shoot out of the 3 concrete bunkers on top of the hill and have a good sight/shootingrange
- 3 repair stations
- 4 medic stations
- 2 fuel points
- 2 ammo points
- 4 vp points
- Each axis player gets machine gun nests and a howitzer from the start and lots of other weapons (stationary or not) to grab in the trenches/fortifications
- Each allied player gets a howitzer (4 on ships) and mobile stuff from the start and lots of weapons to grab on the beach

Well that's why I gave allies mobile artillery from the start. It can destroy a lot of axis defensive structures. If you keep them alive that is :)

Anyway I am going to publish the unmodded version of this map soon so that on that map you can use any mod you like and resume saved games without problems.

And one more thing I want to notice you is that I think no matter what the two kinds of win condition is,on this map,Germany always need less population cap than Allies to win the war,just because Germany has very strong defense system in this Day-D map and there are only two narrow roads for engaging!About my situation: I have experienced play as German with Victory Point succesfully,but now,I want to simulate the Allies in those historical years:not just fight for few Victory Point,but aliies need to gradually go deep into heart of german area and annihilate all of the recalcitrant german they encounter.So,I recently play as allies,win condition is Annihilation,so,I need larger popcap to ensure allies could annihilate all threats on german's highland.

And Why I need 300 to 500 popcap is because if I play win condition as Annihilation,then I have to annihilate almost all of the enemy units(including enemy structures) to win a match,but,if I play win condition as Victory Point,then I think 195 to 250 popcap is enough because in this mode,I only need to keep the front-line not to be destroyed,then I will win the game.

@Wolfie88: About your 3th solution:The reason why I always need to save game many times again and again during one match round is my computer is so poor at gaming,my computer often crashed during a fantastic match,to avoid wasting my previous playing time & lose my striving during one game match,I have to save game many times again & again.:steamsad:

I'll start to work on it today. The second version will have new (stronger) concrete bunkers but they can't be repaired. In the first version I didn't use them because units garrisoned in them did not fire at the enemy unless they were very very close, Relic fixed this bug now. I hope Relic fixes the bug in the other bunkers as well as units garrisoned in those have no green cover. Other changes besides the removed mods will be that the map will be stamped and have an other atmosphere with rain implemented.

Hi. I can remove the 195 popcap on this map that was implemented in a time that there were no mods available to increase popcap and it was high enough to win no matter whos side you play. I playtested this map many times not only vs ai but also with friends. Besides, the modded map has also an increase mp income and special abilities like forward hq that would also be removed. Second solution is that I increase the 195 popcap to 500. I personally find this to much. 3th solution is that you don't save a game and play the 1-2 hour game till the end. 4th solution would be that I publish a a non modded version of this map, a v2. and I think that I will do that.

Day-D map Bug
I found an annoying bug about the population cap.I use other mod at in-game "Win condition"section to increase popcap to 500.But when I reload a saved game,the popcap returned to default 195.But I think it's difficult to win as this too low popcap,this bug means my previous saved game became meaningless,because I don't want to continue playing a saved game on this map just because this bug let the popcap return to 195. Can author fix this,please?
