"Observer" Spy Prop Pack 2

In 1 collection by Astute
"Observer" Spy Set SFM Assets
12 items
Description
This is the second prop pack, adding a few of the extra small props that I didn't include in the first prop pack. This is another batch of small props I made for filling in the gaps in a shot, or adding to the overall ambience of a scene.

Props: "models/props"

prp_fancy_cafe_sign.mdl
-Can be folded open or closed.
-Tends to be highly reactive to light, override materials to tone it down if you're getting bloom blowout with this guy.

prp_concrete_pylon.mdl
-Normal Mapped
-Low quality prop, good for background noise.

prp_city_street_lamp.mdl
-Normal Mapped
-Change the skin to turn the light on/off.

prp_busi_plaque.mdl
-Low quality prop for business lettering or emblems.

prp_rain_group.mdl
-Great for rain sequences.
-Reacts to light, remember to use adequate lighting to get the rain to show up.
-Supports motion blur, remember to animate these groups.
-Some of the rain drops are bodygrouped, so you can turn off half of the rain effect(for lighter rain).

Includes:
props\prp_busi_plaque.mdl
props\prp_city_street_lamp.mdl
props\prp_concrete_pylon.mdl
props\prp_fancy_cafe_sign.mdl
props\prp_rain_group.mdl

Dude thanks so much! I needed it for my upcoming Battlefield 1 SFM "Blood and Rain"

It's been a long time since I've touched this pack. If memory serves, you need to keyframe each group(or just all of them) higher up above the scene, and then keyframe them a few seconds later below the scene(aka, so it passes in front of the camera). After that, SFM should handle the rest. I should streak across the screen with motion blur enabled, giving the impression of raindrops. If you get one group working, you can just duplicate and move it around with the motion editor to create large amounts of rain.

If you are doing a constant downpour, you can do the above animation(a single streak across the camera), export that animation to a file, then reimport it onto your group. It should create a repeating rain effect. You can then staggar your groups of rain so they look continous. You'll probably have to play around with it. I can't access SFM(hardware problems) at the moment to test this, so take it with a grain of salt.

Oh thank you so much for the rain model. I have had so much trouble trying to use the rain particle effects and never had any luck with them.
So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU
