Battlestar Galactica

Description
Glen A Larson's science fiction opera saw 17 episodes on ABC television network in 1978 to1979. Then a remake in 1980 for 10 more episodes. Then nothing but a cult following until Sci Fi channel and NBC remade the opera for a successful 4 seasons in 2003. 2 low budget movies also resulted, and future plans for a box office movie are in the works. I remeber watching this franchise and it was a breath of fresh air from the all powerful Star Trek, which we all watched over and over again since no one else could do it right. Until Battlestar Galactica, that is.

Nothing in my mod is my creative work. I am just a mechanic with a dream to play Battlestars in Star Ruler 2. So I give credit to Glen Larson and his team for all that they envisioned, and the various tool and mod programmers it took for me to bring this to you. Especially to the developers of Star Ruler, who went the right route on this one by letting the community be a part of the game by allowing such high modding freedom. Thank you all, allow for me to express that thanks by bringing you this mod.

-Known Issues & improvments-

Please give me feedback and advice, no critique is to hard for me to handle. My goal is to bring a work of beauty and enjoyment, not feed into my ego. ;-)

1. I remastered the shipset in high resolution. Also, parts of my textures are in high defenition as well. What does this mean? If you do not have a computer able to run next generation console models and graphics, you will need to turn the graphics down to sad or medium. Even then, these models look fabulous, and I am very proud of the work done. I will continue to uv mapping, polygon refining, and high def more of my textures, but as this is a lengthy process, it will be a gradual thing. So if your ships seem to be improving, it is because they are! I will notify when a save breaking change happens.

2. Upon advice from Dalo Lom, I have remade the 13 Tribes to fit within the game lore. This will add to immersion, as I have played the game enough to know the flow of things now.

3. The compatability issue has been addressed with other shipsets in the workshop, please give me confirmation of it.

4. I have reworked my method of Flagship/Support ship. This was my first modification, and I pretty much mirrored the most prolific shipset modifyer's structure of doing things (Thanks goes to Dalo Lom). However, I now have more understanding of the game structure and programming, so I have broken away from the original format. Meaning, I am developing my own style of things. Still, I got great influences, and give much credit. So this modification will probably break any save games you may have had. Sorry, but it had to be done. Please forgive the inconvienence this may cause.

5. If it is necessary to remake a new low resolution modification, please let me know in the comments. This one resolves at 4096 textures, but I can make another to resolve at 1024 textures. Please let me know in the comments.

6. Finally, max ship sizes have changed. Fighter craft supports max at 512, frigate supports at 2048, Battlestars at 8192, and Warstars at 16384. Will be adding a second station to max at 16384, but for now the current station maxes out at 8192.

Got more ships to add, so they will come. So exciting to see this shipset progress!

So much to do, and more to learn. Thank the greater Universe that a future is possible, so that with diligence this can happen. XD

I also am working on Stellar Names, a mod to increase the names given to systems at the beginning of the game. Hopefully, this will reduce redundancy, and add more immersion as well. XD

My computer is running an ASUS-branded R9 290 card. I can play every other Steam or non-Steam game I own on "ultra" and not have an issue...
