1066 - Year of Viking Destiny Deluxe

Overview:

The Denmark - The Vikings was a DLC released on 3 May 2011 for Civilization V. It added the Danish civilization and a scenario which focused on the conquest of England by the Viking powers of Europe, or its defense by the Anglo-Saxon King: Harold Godwinson.

This scenario was made for the vanilla game, and consequentially lacks many of the features of Civilization V today. I've updated this scenario according to those features, adapting it to the mechanics of espionage, the Melee/Naval naval split, the addition of Great Admirals, and 100HP-based combat. I've also expanded upon it slightly, adding Scotland as a newly playable civilization, and adding a second unique unit to all civs.

Please only use non-gameplay altering mods with this scenario (mods like CulDiv, Community Patch, and More Luxuries will be ok).

Installation

Requires Brave New World

Steam Install

• Select "Subscribe" above.
  
• Start the game up and hit Mods
  
• Enable the mod
  
• Click Next and begin a game.

Direct Installation

• Download 7zip (it's freeware, and takes next to no time to install)
  
• Download the Civ5Mod file from here -> Direct Download[www.dropbox.com]
  
• Place the Civ5Mod in MyDocuments> MyGames> Sid Meiers Civilization 5> MODS
  
• Right click the Civ5Mod file and select 7zip -> Extract to "JFD's - (insert civilization here)
  
• Start the game up and hit Mods
  
• Enable the mod
  
• Click Next and begin a game.
