Dawnstar Train

Description
World Save For the Dawnstar Freight Train.

Bringing back a favorite childhood hobby in SE form: Model Trains. But this thing is functional, reliable, planet ready and most importantly fun!

Notes:
- No Mods
- This is an entry for the w4stedspace's A Design for Planets Competition sponsored by KSH
- Train is operated by accelerating and decelerating.
- Make sure you unlock the corresponding landing gear when attaching and locking after detaching cars.
- See video for features and whatnot.

Hey Ravric, I recently started my own train and it seems our running gear is almost identical going from the pics. I was wondering if i could ask you some questions like how you got it to grip the 1x1 slopes in a diagonal with them being so much thinner than a normal block mine tends to fall off them, but handles 2x1 slope diagonals just fine.

Was thinking itl solve itself when it weighs more, allowing them to grip at full strength while having enough force to open them as they go around turns. Anyways i got screenys up of what i built so far, any tips you could give me would be much appreciated :)

This what i got so far... https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1967707950

This is absolutely incredible! It's just what my group has been looking for to do mixed freight transport on an ELW.

Someone should make a Galaxy Express 999 or Galaxy Railways set-up:

Conclusion: Space-Trains are always fun.

MisterMann drop a small rotor part on top of the large rotor (remove the large rotor part first). Then go into control panel and select the rotor you should see a button called Add small rotor head. Actually Im not sure if you have to drop the small rotor part on the large rotor but thats how I see it in the videos so thats how I have been doing it.

How did you get the large rotor to connect to the small one? Iv beem trying to make cars based on the foundation of your work and i cant get the rotors to connect makeing things alot more easier to build a veriety of cars.

I see great things that could come from this. He should try to make a small ship model for a nice little tram to run through your space station. I wish I knew how to make trains in SE
