Description
Multiplayer Campaign MANNCO SCIENCE. (First-of-its-kind map, as far as I know)

This is an experimental Team Fortress 2 mapping project I came up with. As the name suggests this is a TF2 cooperative campaign map.

The goal of the map is to make it through all the test cambers before the time runs out. Each camber invokes a different aspect of game-play and has a different set of rules to beat. One chamber might require logical thinking and spatial awareness wile another might test how well players can do tasks unique to Team Fortress 2.

The map can be played alone or with any number of people. All players join red and work together to complete the test chambers. It’s probably a good idea to play with ~3 friends max, because of the nature of the map, it’s like playing Portal.

There are a total of 9 test chambers. Between every test chamber there’s a resupply cabinet and a respawn area. After a chamber is completed the spawns are moved up and respawn times are set to a minimum, thus dying isn’t a big deal.

IMPORTANT: If you want to run this map as part of a server rotation, it’s not recommended. There’s no way to force players to only join red team without a plug-in and when played like this it’s hard to get across to people what they’re supposed to be doing and what exactly is going on.

Have fun and tell me what you think.

HOW TO SOLVE EVERYTHING:

Only read the next part if you’re stuck. It ruins the experience of trying to solve it for yourself if you read it here first. None of the test chambers are in any way difficult so only read the next paragraphs as a last resort.

- Room 1: Look up and fallow with your crosshairs as you move along the path.
- Room 2: Rocketjump and destroy the top target, use a grenade for the second one and a rocket for the last.
- Room 3: Destroy all the sentries.
- Room 4: Place a teleporter exit on the other side of the crack. Jump on a dispenser/sentry and do it again for the second crack.
- Room 5: Strafe-jump or double jump around the corner as a scout. At the end walk along the ledge.
- Room 6: Shoot the targets to toggles the fire jets.
- Room 7: Active it by walking to the exit. As the room comes down look for a smoking wall, shoot it and walk though.
- The Maze: All the way forward, left, right, right, all the way forward and you’ll see the exit to the left.
- Room 8: Build a building on the laser bridge. Stand on the building and wait for the cycle to repeat.
- Room 9: Go spy and disguise to get past the sentries, then shoot the target.
- End room: shoot the nuke after the animation finishes.

reminds me of that custom map i can't remember, but the whole point of that one is to rush the challenges to gain access to a slow cap point and cap it before the other team does. it goes like this:
1)rocket/stickyjump a set of ledges up to a button
2)sniper shooting range
3)destroy a set of walls on an alley
4)scout obstacle course
5)find hidden buttons
6)cap

It's a really old outdated code thing from Half-life that's still in the game. Basically the camera looks at a point underground and follows a path backwards so it slowly tilts upwards. Taunting wile in the cutscene screws it up.

@Minibotas, well, too bad. Many people actually do want a campaign for TF2.

@Dom nice job with the map; I remember using the Old MannCo Science map on Gmod a couple of years ago.
