NCR Service Rifle

At the inception of the NCR, their army was equipped with a myriad of rifles, shotguns and pistols using a wide variety of calibers and led to a logistical nightmare for the Transport Troops. Following their war with the Enclave and the Brotherhood, the NCR decided that they had to standardize their weaponry, and settled upon a pre-War design commonly found in former US Army and National Guard bases across the Core Region. At the persistence of northern NCR logging companies as well as to keep weapon repair costs down, the original rifle's plastic furniture was replaced with solid wood, making the rifle heavier but it reduces the already fairly mild 5.56 recoil to a point that even the weakest of soldiers could fire it on full auto. The rifle's ruggedness as well as reliability helped the NCR greatly during their campaigns in the Mojave, though not so much when they went to the Divide.

This skin is based off of the Service Rifle weapon from Fallout: New Vegas, used by the NCR troops as well as anyone who stole one.
