4 Player Chess

Description
Chess for 4 Players, Play proceeds mostly as normal with some additional rules as stated on wikipedia:

If a player is placed in check, that player must wait until their designated turn before that player can respond to the threat.

Pawns must only move forward from the player's starting row, unless attacking in a diagonal forward manner.

In the event a pawn reaches the King's row to the left, right or directly across, that pawn shall receive all the privileges of a pawn reaching King's row during a traditional chess game (i.e. promoting to a queen (most commonly), a rook, a bishop, or a knight).

and optionally:

It is illegal for two or more of the players to team up (by combining their pieces) against one, unless stated before the game starts/unless the game is team based.

To those who want the grid settings, I use grid size 2.09, Offset x: -0.2 and offset y: 0.05 and it lines up pretty well

I used to have this! Haven't seen it in years though. Have you ever seen Bosworth? That's a fun 4-player chess variant where pieces don't all start on the board, but in your hand/deck.
