Description
This is a world version of the blueprint for the W.A.S.P. Modular Starfighter for those wanting to just poke and play with them. It's set to Survival rather than Creative, just to show it all actually works, but the container connected to the W.A.S.P. Welders is stuffed full of more components and ammo you'll ever need. There's also four W.A.S.P. Fighter Cores to play with, along with a few ships to use for target practice.

The Weapon And System Pod Modular Starfighter (aren't acronyms fun?) is designed to act as a multirole gunship working from an Avalon-Class Battleship, or anything similar that has manufacturing and dismantling facilities. The Core Fighter carries projectors storing all its potential equipment, enabling to to re-equip or repair itself just about anywhere, and is designed to be able to drop-and-change its loadout within minutes to fit the task at hand. A single WASP can go from first-response interceptor to bombing capital ships and finish off with a long-range FTL recon run just by swapping out wing modules and still be able to put up a formidable fight without them. It need not pair up the same loadout on both wings either, it's perfectly possible to mix-and-match to suit a task. A dorsal mount also contains a smaller number of modules (two) to provide extra firepower without increasing the height of the craft too drastically.

The S3 Engines are grouped seperately with an On/Off toggle from the Pilot's Cockpit (the forward one) so that a WASP can be manuevered in close quarters without a touch of acceleration rocketing it into a wall or ship.

W.A.S.P. Equipment

122mm Cannon - Anti-Ship Firepower

Sniper Cannon - Anti-Capital-Ship Weapon

Bulldog Gatling (3x) - Anti-Starfighter Weapon

Grendel Gatling (2x) - MORE DAKKA!

Hellfire Missiles - Carpet Bombing (caution: may cause fits of mad laughter while watching small craft vaporize)

Jump Drive Booster - A secondary Jump Drive that adds an extra 1,000km to the W.A.S.P's jump radius per-Booster-Pod. A Fusion Reactor is also included to offset the recharge drain.

Aerospace Wings - Extra vertical thrust to enable flight, as well as VTOL, in planetary gravity. And decorative wings.

There are two blank projectors for each of the wing mounts, as well as a full seven unused ones for the Dorsal Mount should you wish to add your own weapons to one.

If the timers wind up blanked during assembly, the order is Lock Connector, Turn Off Connector, Turn Off Merge Block. It's explicitly like that due to a bug that can cause disconnected Connectors to lock when the merge blocks release.

Uh... okay? Try taking a look in the Starfighter's menu and hotbars at all the projectors. They're even set up as individual Groups to highlight them. That's the whole point of the design - all you need is a set of Welders and a single W.A.S.P starfighter can swap out its own equipment anywhere and anytime rather than get bogged down with over-complex module-mounting.
