Description
Wheatley was your ticket out of here, but it looks like he's turned on you...can you survive whatever he has in store?

This map series is a remake of my very first map series overall, Escape From Aperture. (Someone else made a series with an identical title, but they mainly used BEEMOD in the creation of it.) My goal for this was to remake the original experience as best I could in making the story make sense without the need for massive description stories and extremely contrived plot elements. (Some parts might seem a little bit contrived, still. I did my best to try and fix those moments, but...) Anywho, simple enough, your goal is to Escape from Aperture, as the title suggests.

Most of these maps contain a fair few easter eggs, see if you can find them all!
This map, however, has no easter eggs. :(

0==== Q&A =====0
"How did you make this?"
- I used the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, the tool in fact used by Valve to make the main campaigns of Portal 2. No, BEEMOD was not involved in any way, so if you were going to ask about that, don't.

"How did you get Wheatley in there?"
- In using the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, you have every asset of Portal 2 available for use. It's just the matter of figuring out how they work, first...

"How did you get the Rocket Turret to work?"
- 'tis the magic of trigger brushes, my friend.

"Why is this map so boring?"
- I was merely re-writing the original map as best I could, I'm not a miracle worker.

KNOWN BUG:
Do not approach Wheatley after beating him; you will fall through the panels surrounding him, and I currently cannot fix that.

===== ALLOS Map Rating =====
3/5; it's all one giant cutscene, really

This remake may not bee 100% perfected, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!
If you happen to make a video of your playthrough, I'd like to see it. Link in the comments below, if you would.

It's not as fun as the other ones you've made, but it is as good as the other ones.

I love how it says that you're not supposed to be here when you press the stalemate button :3

Walkthrough:

Phase one:

Wait until Wheatley gets out the Rocket turret, Avoid being shot.
When the panels move up, activate all the red glows and turn them green.
Grab the Space core and plug him into the receptacle on the left.

Phase two:

Wait until Wheatley stops hacking, Avoid being shot by the Rocket turret.
Grab the Adventure core and plug him into the receptacle on the right.

Phrase three:

Wait until Wheatley stops chatting, Avoid being shot by the Rocket turret.
Grab the Fact core and plug him into the receptacle at the back.

Phrase four:

Wait until Wheatley and the corrupted cores stop arguing, Avoid being shot by the Rocket turret.
Grab the Turret cube and plug him into the receptacle at the front.
Wait until the Elevator goes up, then get onto the elevator and it'll go down.

See? Wasn't that Easy? :steamhappy:

I wondered if that was unused. That was my favorite part.

I actually used a good portion of dialogue from the corrupted cores that you don't ever hear in the main campaign. Like the Adventure Core getting annoyed at Space Core's space obsession, and Fact Core just dissing the both of them.
