Springsnake Island

Description
Welcome to Springsnake Island! Inspired by the Jurassic Park islands.

Two springs feed the snake river going through the island and several picturesque corners in this island will provide nice backdrops for your cities. The theme is tropical of course and all manners of transport connections have been added.

The difficulty in this map lies with building around the many hills, mountains and rivers and also the height differences between buildable land and the main river. Also, unless you unlock all 25 tiles, choosing which way to go can be a difficult choice. From my own experience on this map, building metro lines accross the main river is a bit tricky. I advise going for the lower edges along the river when you want to build those.

There are no mod requirements. However, the Moving Sun mod makes this tropical island look gorgeous.

Grab some fresh drinks, put on a nice summer tune and start building on Springsnake Island!

Love the waterfall. Love the map. Inventive and original. Wish I had discovered this sooner. I cannot wait to start building.

Thanks guys! To answer MrMiyagi, this map fictional and is all handmade by first making the rough landscape in big chunky shapes and then removing bits and adding detail using the rougher brushes.

Looks great! Glad to see there is more than one highway off the island. A single highway tends to cause traffic issues.

Very nice work!!! And hard work at that - looks 100% hand done or Wilbur (geo modeling program). However you did it, I like!
