Don't know if you've ever played Sins of a Solar Empire, but feel free to check out my workshop page now that I have 2 creations (the smallest first ;) )

I wanted to make the Sins of a Solar Empire ships (because there are like, only Star Trek ships in the workshop), but i just couldn't get started. Thanks for the help! :D

@Gnu (cont...) Another thing to note is that if you get deep into the tech tree, eg. you unlock large ship hulls and all the components that come with it, then you use those new components on a basic fighter and save that ship, you can use that fighter design right from the start of a new game, you don't have to go unlocking large ship hulls to use your design in a fresh game.

All 5 of the Rebel fighters I've made so far I did AFTER I unlocked the entire Terran tech tree (so I could get various gizmos for the X-wing and Y-wing, but you can use those ships right from the start.

@Gnu If i remember correctly, GalCiv2 had the Ship Designer on the main menu. Unfortunately in GalCiv3, if you want to design ships using all possibilities in the game, you have to unlock them in the tech tree, but luckily you don't have to do this for all races.

What I did was to play the tutorial mission and then create a new save game after I completed a tier in each tech tree. That way I can go to any tech tier and create any ship I want and also variants as the tech tree progresses.

i like it ;) but just a quick question:
- is there a way to enter a "creator mode"? or du you have to play a race and research until you can get bigger ships (for creating big ships)... and THEN create ships?

@Gnu cheers, glad you like it - I know the colour schemes but GalCiv3 doesn't have one that adequately matches Alliance fighters so I opted to go for blue livery on all my Alliance ships in reference to the new film (for the X-Wing) as well as the original concept art (for the A-Wing).

9,9/10 (the most common A-wings are red, not blue) awesome work!
