FIFA World League v3.4

Description
Some of you may remember the FIFA World League I made for FM14. Almost 18,000 players downloaded that league on Steam which made me very happy.

For FM15 I've expanded the league from 21 to 28 divisions and created a pyramid system. When you get down to Division 3, the divisions branch into sub-divisions. For example, Division 3 has 3 groups; Division 7 has 6 groups. This means it's now much more possible to gain promotion through all the divisions. It also emphasizes the differences between each division. On the previous version, the difference between Div 12 and Div 13, for example, was basically nothing. That's now much better.

The second big change is that the league is no longer in England. The whole thing has been built from scratch in Singapore. The main reasons for this have to do with foreigner limits and journeyman games. I like to play this league with a limit of 7 foreigners per team. Without a foreigner limit every team becomes a general mix of nationalities with nothing much connecting them to their homelands. When the league was in England, this meant that local players could be from the club's country and England. So if you were Real Madrid, you could buy a lot of English stars as well as your Spanish ones and still have space for 7 foreigners. Well, there aren't any Singaporean stars so the league works much better in Singapore. I've changed all the necessary data to make Singapore a suitable place for a world league.

***What do I get with this download?

A brand new league based in England and made up of 438 of the best teams in the world from Real Madrid and Manchester City to Gamba Osaka and Vancouver Whitecaps. There is also a "World Pool' made up from every country in the world that doesn't have a club in the main leagues (169 in total), from Jamaica to Bhutan to Vanuatu.

***What is the structure of this league?

There are 7 main divisions. The Premiership has 18 teams and every other division has 20. Divisions 3, 4 and 5 have 3 groups. Division 6 has 4 groups. And Division 7 has 6 groups. The World Pool also has 6 groups with 28/29 teams in each. When you play, you might want to leave the World Pool as 'invisible' so it's a surprise when new teams enter the league - unless you want to try and take the Turks and Caicos Islands' best team, Cheshire Hall, to the Premiership!

***Are there any cup competitions?

Of course. In fact, there are three: the FIFA World League Cup, FIFA World Lower League Cup, and the FIFA World Trophy. There is also a 'Charity Shield' competition between the league and trophy winners. The FIFA World Trophy is the most prestigious cup competition in the world and every team in the World League takes part.

***Sometimes with custom leagues the team has the same nationality as the league so their regens are from the wrong country. Will this happen in the FIFA World League?

Nope. Each team retains their original nationality so their regens will come from their own country.

***So how do I download this beast?

Follow the link to the Steam Workshop and click Subscribe. Then open up FM and go to FM>Downloads. Click the Steam Workshop, find the FIFA World League and click Install.

Make sure when you start a new game that the latest version of the FIFA World League is selected and no other edited files that conflict with the World League.

***Sounds great! I have a website and I'd like to share your file on it. What should I do?

If you wish to re-post this update please credit me. If you want to edit it and post please ask me first.

***I think I've spotted a bug or I have a suggestion for how to improve the file. Would you like to hear it?

Yes please! The file is very complicated and there may well be issues with it that I haven't seen yet.

Also, if you have any suggestions on how to improve it please let me know

***Where the hell is Ajax [or insert favourite team]? Don't you know they won the Champions League?

Ajax are in Division Two. Teams are sorted purely by reputation according to SI researchers. This is the fairest way I could think of and sorry if you're favourite team is lower than you expect. It's pretty easy to edit the leagues so please go ahead if you want to make changes or ask me if you have any problems.

***When I start a new game all the teams are in the right divisions but the divisions have the wrong names.

You've probably added an edited file that changes the names of Singaporean competitions. You'll have to de-select this file to get the correct World League names.

Enjoy!

In the country selection screen I can't enable Singapore, I can only enable Hungary, India and Wales. Any fix for this?

should do if the transfer update only updates players (and not, e.g., club divisions)

Does this work with transfer updates?

Hey, sorry for late reply.

It's a bit weird. Don't know how to fix it but I think I'll make a 2016 version when that comes out and I'll set it somewhere in Europe this time. Not sure if that will fix this problem but it will fix some others :)

I seemed to have figured it out, at least somewhat--England (and any primarily English-speaking country), Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, most of Eastern Europe and former Yugoslavia, and Monaco (AS Monaco, but no other French teams) seem to be the only countries where players will actually learn the language for teams in the World League. Even in heavyweights like Italy, France, Portugal, Brazil, and pretty much all of the Spanish-speaking Americas, players won't learn the language, and this kind of hurts teams because they then can't apply for citizenship.

I don't know but I have noticed it. It sounds a bit like it might depend on some weight that is put on 'bigger' languages (English, Spanish, German, Russian). Perhaps some countries have a weight that means players are more likely to learn the language but this is lessened if the team is based in, say, Germany but plays their games in Singapore.

I don't know if it's possible to change this but I'll look into it. If you find out more info, let me know :) Thanks!
