Desert to the Tall Pines

Description
Open desert, far reaching mountain ranges, cliffs, deep canyons, dense forests, and raging rivers provide amazing views, and will challenge you as you design your city. This map is inspired by my home state of Arizona in the American Southwest. This hand crafted map represents my perception of the best terrain the west has to offer. Airplane, railroad , and highway connections in place and meticulously layed out. All natural resource types available. Strong river currents. Many strong wind areas. I found that you can place a hydroelectric dam in the canyons. The reservoir does take a few in game years to fill though. This rugged map will put your infrastucture skills to the test. Some areas of the map will have to be be accessed by mountain passes or tunnels. If your city gets so big that the river runs low, you can pump water from the northern lake which has more water than you'll ever need. While this map is very mountainous, there is still quite a lot of flat land for expansive cities.

When you click subscribe you will be prompted to add the tree types for this map.
There are 4 awesome saguaro cactus types by shroomblaze.
And 3 amazing conifer tree types by Djelle

Thanks for checking it out! Be sure to let me know what you think.

Very beautiful!!!! It's really nice to look at and lots of attention to detail. Side note, is that a steam locomotive there? Looks cool!
