God Hand Charger Mod

So, for about a week now I wanted to create a mod that had the Charger have the voices of the grunts from God Hand. This was a lot more difficult that it seemed.

At first it turned out that no one had attempted to rip the voices from God Hand. I could not find anything related to voices, only music. So I decided to do it myself. At first I was just playing the game and recording the sounds with the music in the background and was going to try my best to edit the music out but I couldn't find a way, so I had to leave it like that.

Even with the music in the background it was still very difficult to record all the voices from God Hand since they happen at such unique moments that it eventually became a long and tedious process of letting Gene get hit on Easy and seeing if the grunts will say something other than "COME ON!"

I eventually gave up on that and attempted to rip the sounds from the disc itself. I found a program called PSound which seemed to have ripped the game successfully with the exception of the pitch and speed both being way off mark. I eventually tried Audacity to sort the sounds out but I could not get the pitch correct.

Eventually I found that the pitch was not the problem but rather it was just the speed. The pitch was correct and I was messing it up myself.

I extracted around 600 voice files from the 2778 there are in God Hand and converted them to .wav formats for this mod.

Anyhow, enough story telling.

This is a mod that changes the sounds of the Charger to the enemies from God Hand. Now you can have the charger shout "You're not Alexander!" as he charges you. There are 28 or so different phrases the Charger will say ranging from "My Style is Impetious!" to "You're the God Hand!?". Additionally. Broncobuster plays while you are being pounded into the ground.

The video has some weird static on certain voices that seems to occur when you try to spawn the Charger via the console, it shouldn't happen if you play the game normally. Also, the voices being cut short in the video was addressed and I've updated the mod so all sound files should play and be heard.

If anyone would want to see more mods in this manner say so. I wouldn't mind making the Boomer's have the voices of the Fatties/Elvis and the Spitter/Witch having the voices of Conchita/Shannon/Women.
