Description
----Finally got some time to track down the error that was leading to the scripts not running properly and the laptops being non-functional with no tracer options. Got things running. Please let me know if anyone has any other errors.----

Time skip now available for night time/NVG practice. See range computers at range control station.
This is a simple VR marksmanship training range with the bullet trace created by Hypnotic and color coded by Dyslexci on the Armaholic forums.

This range utilizes the vanilla Arma 3 weaponry, including Marksman DLC content.

This range is to allow a player to focus on learning proper engagement methods with Arma weaponry, and learn Arma's bullet physics. I am working on perfecting a multi-player version of this that allows shooter/spotter teams to work in tandem to practice range communication as well as focusing on perfecting shooting skills. If time permits I may create an ACE3 compatible version to allow for scope doping and advanced bullet physics.

By all means please leave me comments, constructive pointers, and try to be kind since this is my first shot! Rate if you like it, let me know if you'd like to see more. Help me out, let me know if you guys like this kind of stuff! Thanks!

===========Notes===========

I figured out a cheap and easy way to do weather effects. So I went ahead and did weather effects. There is also a new second lane that has animation- and damage-disabled OPFOR targets for better target practice. Now you can use the thermal optics and utilize advanced target acquisition techniques to find targets difficult to spot due to inclement weather.

Round trace quality presets, time manipulation and weather effects are enabled from the laptops near the lane. Clearing lines is done regardless of proximity to laptops.

All ranges have been updated to include an option for NO TRACERS for players who wish to test their skill without aid, and let a viewer see the rounds in action. This may help some folks with their practice.

=========Changelog=========

v1.5 update: Added time advance function to range computer. You can now advance time in 6 hour increments in order to practice night fire. The trace lines become difficult to see, but they're still there, it just takes some getting used to. Each weapon box now has several NVGs for night practice. Added some more environmental decorations.

v1.4 update: Added pistol/SMG range. Added explosives/demo range. Added ambient AI units (can't get them to engage targets to simulate practice at this time, but working on it!).

v1.3 update: Added lane 2 with live targets (animations and damage disabled). Added second laptop at lane two with weather effects.

v1.2 update: Minor tweaks. Properly credited folks who were involved in the credits tab of briefing. No major adjustments.

v1.1 update: Finalized in-mission laptop with adjustable tracer settings. Scroll wheel to select desired option, middle mouse click to activate those settings.

*****NOTE - ACE 3 users, check out my ACE 3 version of this range at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=498928339. Fully ACE 3 compatible, with ACE 3 equipment boxes for advanced in game equipment.*****

When you edit with PBO edit I believe you have the option of removing mod dependencies. What you might need to do is clear out all the various items from those outdated mods and clear the dependency. That should let it run. I can still look it over when I get some time, but it'll be a while.

This is my Weapon and Equipment mods, pretty much the best ones out there. I am sure adding CUP stuff would help in your range:

I am just not sure if you need to add the mods in your VR, I think you just need to allow cargo containers to allow Arsenal to do loadouts. But I am not sure.

Yeah I used PBO Manager to open it, but when I went to run it in game it would not open, said something was outdated, it wouldn't let me edit it. So it may be something for you to fix. I am not in hurry. I will follow this thread to give me info when you update it. Thanks.

It may be some time until I can get to it (perhaps as much as several months) but I could see about updating it. If you like, you can unpack the scenario and do some editing to it yourself to specifically input the mods you want to use. There are a number of tutorial videos that you can find that will explain how to unpack the scenario to allow you to edit it. If you do that my one request would be that if you choose to upload the scenario just throw me a mention that you used my scenario as your basis. :)

If you can't get it working on your own (or just don't want to bother with it), I'll try and see about updating it for you. I'll need a full list of which mods you are wanting to use in it though, so I can be sure to include them and understand it may be a while before I get to it.

Yeah I wouldn't mind have one crate that I could do a loadout, that way it could pull in my mods. If that is how it works.

I have been looking for something like this for a while, especially night test. But I want to practice with mods but I can't seem to get to show up.
This guys talks about how to make an object to allow custom loadouts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFMwNQnxYYA&t=9s
He says to use this code:
["AmmoboxInit", [this, true]] call BIS_fnc_arsenal;

I have some custom loadouts I wanted to test, modded and vanilla.

I think it might have been from an older RHS mod. Not exactly sure, tbh.

Whats the mod for the hat in the thumb nail?

Oops, can't believe I overlooked that. Fixed.
