Description
An offshoot project from the Marshal refit program, the Regent class Cutter is a shortened, mostly de-militarized variant designed mostly for costal patrol and search-and-rescue operations. A slightly modified 76mm main gun is still present as a defensive measure though an anti-missile system is still present. Still technically a warship, the Regent-class still carries a sizeable silo of LPVLMS missiles, though these are rarely found to be of any use in it's day-to-day costal operations, other than as a handy launch rail for SAR and picket UAVs.

Compared to the Marshal, the Regent is significantly cheaper to produce and field though is just as durable thanks to a complete internal hull-redesign using a double-hull and compartmentalized sections. A cruising speed of 10m/s is considered standard though modified engines are not unheard of. Comes complete with crew-housing and a high-visiblity bridge

Edit:Out of Lore Information
The AI settings could use a little bit of work, but it should be set up for multi-targeting, with the cannon prioritizing aerial vehicles and the missile silo generally going for ships. Everything is AI controlled and it works pretty well as a secondary fleet ship. Seriously though, the Large Payload missiles are some of the best i've made as they have a tendency to cause massive damage and make short work of anything. As a ship, it'll generally take one most 20-30 point vehicles, though it's best to use these in a fleet. It's also got a weak frontal and two side shields but i didn't mention them because they're not too effecitve. At a somewhat later date i'll try to make the landing pad in the rear deploy a combat jayhawk (helo) or something fitting. This thing is actually an overhauled Marshal designed to simply be cheaper and have a better-designed hull that didn't sink too much.
