Midnyte's owner giggled, the sound echoing ominously as she sank into the shadows, becoming all but invisible. Thunderstryke's owner, panicking, sent lightning bolts in every direction in a vain effort to defend himself from his unseen opponent.

After all her effort in making a show of shadow-jumping, the dark one simply sent the shocking swordsman into a swirling vortex of shadow, never for him to be seen again.

Ashamed by what she had allowed her sister to do, the light-wielding sister turned away from the sight of the battle. Immediately making up her mind, she used Starlyte's power to transform herself into an actual star to escape from the Earth and the evil upon it, leaving her sword and armor behind. Without someone to balance the chaos of Midnyte, the darker sister allowed its madness to overcome her, threatening the lives of the final two swordmasters.
