*A note about the guide button - If you are using the standard Xbox 360 (Or Wireless) Controller Windows 8.1 Drivers, it will install a utility that will always map the guide button to open a small utility that shows the controller ID and battery level in a little window. This will interrupt the game and switch to the desktop to bring it up (which can be annoying). If you so choose, you can actually uninstall the utility and the drivers will stay intact and your controller will continue to function normally giving you complete control of the guide button so it will not interrupt the game when going to the menu. I would keep a copy of the driver on hand in case you actually do need to re-install it later, just in case. It's also available on Microsoft.com (for now) if you need to download it again. That being said, I am not responsible for any problems or issues as a result of uninstalling or making changes to your system so DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I hope it works well and is useful!

Please let me know if you find this profile useful or if you have any ideas for updates or changes. As you can always modify these profiles to suit you, if you find that a certain config works better, let me know and share the knowledge so others can benefit and I'll try to make changes to this if it suites the profile.

Thanks!

Thank you, Speed. I did end up finding it. Apparently, you have to hold the guide button while it is installed to bring up the advanced options menu to turn it off. It can be turned on again, if necessary by using Win+m

Scooby - This works on Windows 8.1 so it may not be the same on 10... I haven't tested it. I am avoiding Windows 10 for a while until they calm down with the updates because I like stability more than I like the bleeding edge. ;-)

Hi there. I cannot find anywhere in my programs the Microsoft utility to uninstall. I am using Windows 10. I believe it found the driver automatically for my wired 360 windows controller.
