This tropical island belongs to the Dominican Republic and is actually not populated. You are invited to change this uncivilized situation of wilderness! No pirate shall be without rum no more!

The "Cities: Skylines" mod "Isla Beata" is based on an height map import-file (http://terrain.party/).
Some smaller islands were added to gain more space for building a bigger city. A little bit of terraforming was neccessary to make the land more habitable. Island Beata has also been connected to the mainland by a highway and train tracks. Aircrafts and ships are travelling across and besides the island, too. As surprisingly as mother nature in "Cities:Slkylines" is, iron ore and oil resources can be found on this real-world based map.
