Description
This is a small mod I made since I was pretty unhappy about the amount of friendly fire caused by a settlement's defensive towers. This mod does the following:

-towers are now more accurate, there should be no more friendly fire or settlements put on fire because of it
-damage output halved as compensation since they'll score more hits now
-range of wooden towers reduced from 200 to 175. Didn't make much sense that they had as much range as the much larger towers of stone

I understand that this mod represents a net increase in lethality for towers which many people won't like, but I personally prefer it that way. Siege assaults in history were dangerous with often high losses for the attacker. I think Attila also offers plenty of ways to get rid of them, be it artillery, flaming shot or siege escalation.

Increased reloading time from 10 to 15 as it is now in vanilla.

think you'd be willing to make a sister mod for this with no damage reduction and possibly a faster rate of fire for the towers?

I'm currently doing a This is Total War campaign as WRE, and it's impossible for me to win deffensive siege battles. My towers keep setting my city on fire, followed by my units fleeing like cowards even though the numbers are even (not to mention all the other debuffs from having a ruined city). Thank you for this mod!

Thank you for making a ridiculous game mechanic into a siege defense strategic asset, like how they should have been developed.

I have tested it and I can confirm that towers cause less friendly fire, don't fire your own city and they kill less enemies. So I think it is very balanced because the towers aren't so powerful now, nice mod.

Anything that makes attacking more dangerous is a big + for me.

I always hunt for mods like this since they always try to make it seem "fair" lol

Something sort of a more strong bow; more powerfull but not like a scorpion. It is possible ?

Would you like towers shooting scorpion bolts? It's possible, but probably a not very popular change and not what I created this mod here for. I suggest you go and create your own mod containing whatever changes you see fit. I can tell you which tables to edit if yóu need help with that.
