Copper Bay (Old)

Description
There is a new Version of this Map
The Update of this map can be found here. Just some small quality of life changes.

This is my first try in the map editor so please be forgiving.

Characteristic
- Most parts of the map are flattened or quite flat; so there is not much challenging terrain. There are some parts with steeper angles but this map isn't for the ones who want the terrain to dictate how infrastructure is build.
- It features a meandering river with a strong current, though shallow sloping - dams won't work here, sorry.

Features
- Just below 100.000 trees are planted, so there's room for plenty more.
- a small mountain in the center of the map overlooking the area. Perfect for placing something iconic to create a scenic landmark.
- A harbor area with a low shoreline so ships will actually anchor at the port and not below it.
- A sandy beach area that is about one and a half tiles long. It should make a nice waterfront for hotels, casinos and other tourism and leisure themed buildings.
- The farmland mostly concentrates along the river.
- Vast Forest below the big Mountain in the east.
- A big Quarry/Mine in an area with plenty of ore.

Outside connections
-three highways and a possible fourth; you need to buy the map-tile and connect the last highway via tunnels.
-three train tracks, two continuous ship routs (four connections) one of them branches of to service the inner harbor area and of cause airplane routes.

I recommend the 25 Tile Mod; with only 9 Tiles you have to be quite picky if you want to have access to the harbor, beach and industrial resources.

I used CrispWarmContrast color correction for the screenshots.

Seems like it would suit me perfectly with its mountains and plateaus.

You're right. I might do some changes before thursday sso I'll keep it in mind. It will be a challenge to make it look natural though since the land slopes towards the sea.

Make a river that goes outside the map - I haven't played on this map, but it seems like sewage will always end in the sea.
