LSS Stratos

The LSS Stratos is an experamental military airship capable of long range bombing and light air-to-air combat.
It's buoyant airfoil allows it to float high above the range of most small caliber cannons and it's underside is greatly armoured and shielded against heavier cannon fire and the ship is equipped with a missile defence system aswell.

There is a double barrel laser cannon at the bow that can rotate in an arc of 180 degrees to take on small threats in front it and on the sides. In addition there are multiple missle batteries on the front and sides of the craft for general air defence on all angles.

However it's most devastating weapon is an enormous bomb bay that can hold up to 96 small bombs or mines.
This in conjunction with it's incredibly long flight range makes it incredibly useful for large minelaying operations and carpet bombing.
