Lofoten, Norway

Description
Create the metropolis you want, surrounded by the most dramatic scenery! Heightmap imported from the area around the city Leknes. The gorgeous Lofoten offers you all resources and lots of flat land between peaks high enough for summer open ski resorts! The land around the starting tile is big and flat enough for your megatropolis, but use the 25 tiles mod, and you can reach beautiful secret locations between the mountains, perfect for small villages.

3 x Higway connections
3 x Train connections
4 x Ship connections
4 x Plane connections.

Unlimited trees and TerrainTextureReplacer mod required. (you can play the map without TerrainTextureReplacer, but the snow will appear as sand).

Terrain Texture Changer Mod Instructions: (thanks to MrMiyagi)

1. Subscribe to the TerrainTextureReplacer mod
2. Download this snow texture and name it sand_texture.png http://imgur.com/T8sphnK
3. Create a new folder at this location C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods\TerrainTextureReplacer. You probably have to create this folder yourself. Be sure it is named TerrainTextureReplacer.
4. Place your renamed snow texture in this folder.
5. Remember to activate the TerrainTextureReplacer mod in your Main Menu, under Content Manager - Mods.

Hope you like it!

Lithrus: Thats an idea...but I have several other projects going on, and its a hard to go back on a map you feel "finished" with. You know, you can go in the map-editor and edit the map yourself? If you turn off the terraintexture mod, its easy for you to add some beaches. But please dont publish the map without asking :)

Yeah :/
What if you made a summer version of this? Like one with normal grey mountains and used normal beaches? Also, i feel like the coast needs to be more defined, its very rounded at the moment.

Lithrus: What an honor! Yeah, I agree, beaches would be great, but on this map the sand texture is replaced with snow. As far as I know you can not have both on the same map...yet :)

I'm actually using this map, but it'd be great if you could put beaches, as they increase land value in the latest patch, across the map?
