SET for Halloween 2015

This edition requires Dawnguard. It turns Skyrim into a horror show, with flaming jack-o-lanterns, plenty of spine-chilling scenery and lots of creepy clutter. But that's not all! It transforms guards and shopkeepers into ghosts, vampires, werewolves and the like. There are terrifying treats people eat (like bloody severed hands!) and kids dressed in costumes. Even draugr are more dreadful. Many now appear burnt or bloody.

SET (Skyrim Encounters and Themes) for Halloween 2015 is one of several mods in the SET for Halloween Collection. The mod requires the Dawnguard DLC. If you don't have the DLC, there is a non-Dawnguard edition, HERE. A French edition of the mod translated by Sylom is HERE.

Disable the mod any time and the Skyrim "nightmare" ends. Architecture, clutter, food and NPCs return to normal. Change your mind? Simply enable it again, and the "nightmare" returns! See Disabling or Unsubscribing, below. You should unsubscribe from last year's SET for Halloween before using this one.


Many guards of Skyrim's holds are transformed into creatures of the night! In Whiterun after sunset, ghost guards haunt the streets. By day, Whiterun guards transform into werewolves if provoked. At night, vampire guards prowl Solitude. Start a fight, and they'll suck the life out of you! By day, Solitude guards are dressed as executioners wielding headsman's axes. Gargoyles guard the stone town of Markarth, and vampire guards have infiltrated Morthal.

In Whiterun, the shopkeepers are changed, too. Arcadia the alchemist is a witch, which you might guess from her witch hat and green skin! Threaten her, and you might get burned--by her spells. Belethor is now one ugly "Mr. Hyde"--an appropriate fit for his ghoulish humor, don't you think? Ulfberth the blacksmith is what any good Nord of Whiterun would like to be--a werewolf. Don't make him angry--you might not like him when he's angry! Outside Whiterun, Solitude, Dawnstar and Windhelm you'll find vampire khajiits selling wicked wares. Their freakishly long fangs give them away! Whiterun has the Headless Horsecart Man as a carriage driver. He drives an evil black steed, with glowing red eyes. Skyrim's children are wearing different costumes, dressed like witches, vampires, Redguard Alik'r warriors, Imperial generals, Dwarven soldiers, thieves, assassins, Thalmor and even the Dragonborn.

Cannibalism is not just for Markarth any more! In every tavern, and at many a campfire, dining table and kitchen, you will see citizens cooking human body parts, eating severed hands, and drinking from blood-filled goblets. Sweet rolls and nut treats even have eyeballs! All of these you may buy and eat yourself.

Whiterun, Whiterun Hold towers and vampire strongholds are now lit with carved pumpkins in each brazier. The Jack-o-lanterns flicker with an eerie glow.

Throughout Skyrim you'll find skull candles; cooking pots with slimy or bloody skulls and severed hands; and bloody wood cutting axes, pickaxes and buckets.

The waters of Whiterun run red with blood! Sawmills, wood chopping blocks and other items are splattered with blood.

Now you'll encounter more than one kind of draugr in dark dungeons. Along side the normal draugr, you'll find all-new bloody draugr--who are bathed in blood from head to toe--and new burnt draugr--who are scorched over every inch of their bodies!

✓ Hermir, Windhelm blacksmith, is a ghost
✓ Taarie, Solitude clothing vendor, is a draugr
✓ The Courier is a skeleton
✓ Ulfberth, Whiterun blacksmith, turns into a werewolf if attacked
✓ Valga Vinicia, Falkreath innkeeper, is a shadow person

To make sure this mod loads, after subscribing, launch Skyrim, wait for the launch screen to display a message that all mods finished synchronizing, then exit Skyrim to the desktop. Relaunch Skyrim. The mod should now be loaded.


Please report any bugs you think you find. List of known bugs:
✓ Children sometimes wear normal clothes instead of costumes
✓ Dragonborn child's costume helmet is sometimes invisible
✓ After unsubscribing, if some children aren't wearing clothes, use the Kid's Costume Fix mod to fix it

Mods changing some clutter and hold guards might be incompatible with this mod. Sp0ckrates Workshop mods that are incompatible:

There's no need to unsubscribe. After subscribing, you may easily disable the mod at anytime:

1. Start the Skyrim launcher
   
2. Wait for it to display a message that mods finished synchronizing
   
3. Select Data Files
   
4. Remove the checkmark next to this mod
   
5. Select OK and Play
