Kenayskaya

Description
Kenayskaya is a map inspired by photographs of the Alaskan coastline and Yosemite National Park. Kenayskaya itself is comprised of four main areas - a barren river delta, a fertile inner valley, a series of canyons, and some regular pine forest and mountains. My hope is that this allows for some diversity and interesting looking backdrops for cities.

Although quite rugged, the map is heavily smoothed, and should allow for some large cities to be built without too much concern for the terrain.

There are many lakes on the map, each with a powerful water source, meaning that these lakes should be capable sewage outlets or water intakes, if you do not want to use any of the rivers or draw from the sea. I would recommend building your first sewage outlets in the like in the starting tile.

All resource types are available on the map. The central valley is fertile, the delta holds oil, while the tops of the canyons have ore.

All transportation types are present on the map.

There are just over 100,000 trees left in the budget.

It is highly recommended to download the custom trees used on the map, otherwise a lot of the scenery will look strange.

Per usual, the height map was drawn in Photoshop, then heavily edited with Wilbur and the in game tools.

Thanks to MrGroenning, whose interchange I used on this map because I'm bad at roads.

Warning: You may load the map to find a section of highway missing. I have no explanation for why this happens. The problem can fix itself if you start a new game on the map.
