Introducing the newest ship in the Eiselburg Industries catalogue: The Modular Freighter.


A question you may all be asking right now is what is the Modular Freighter and what makes it so special compared to other Freighters on the market. Well to answer your question we have released an example configuration ahead of the official release to give you an idea as to what to expect. The Modular Freighter actually comes sold as multiple seperate parts, each part has a different purpose, in the example ship you can find the Main Cockpit, 1x Oxygen Module, 3x Cargo Modules, 1x Auxilliary Power Module and 1x Auxilliary Thruster Module.


Each module is specialised to it's role however all of them come with several features as standard:

1. Extruded Merge Ports - For simple docking and undocking without damaging any components.
   
   
2. Spinal Conveyor System - To ensure goods can be moved freely without disconnecting a module first.
   
   
3. Stabilisation Thrusters and Gyros - so that you never lose a pod to the vacuums of space when not in use.
   
   
4. Reserve Batteries to keep the module running when no other power sources are available.

Control - All good freighters start somewhere and this is it for the Modular freighter, you'll be needing this to help pilot your Freighter

Cargo - A Freighter isn't a Freighter without some freight to haul, as such you'll probably be wanting to add with this cargo module to your shopping cart.

Oxygen - Apparently people need to breath, make sure you maximise on those profits with a Oxygen Module.


Defence Module - Planning a trip through dangerous waters or just want to deter your competitors? This module will come with multiple armament options to ensure maximum safety of your cargo.

Power Modules - Running low on power or just don't want to waste that precious uranium? These module will provide alternate options for power in the form of solar panels or battery banks.

Refinery & Assembly Modules - Not wanting to limit your freighter to just going from A to B? Why not turn it into a mobile base with modules for on site refining of raw materials.

Docking Boom Module - Need to access that awkward dock? Let the docking boom do that for you.

Cargo Tug Module - Not all stations have their own tugs to help dismantle the freighter so why not take your own with you wherever you go?

Automation Module - Sometimes you just want to let someone else do all the hard work, this module is that someone else.

Jumpdrive Module - Apparently normal engines have a speed limit, at Eiselburg Industries we don't belive in speed limits and neither should you so we are developing the Jumpdrive Module for exactly that purpose.
