DragonNeko Respawn Ships

Description
This is a collection of respawn ships we put together after getting sick of getting exploded five minutes into a game because it's impossible to get defenses build that fast. And generally just wanting something different. They run along the same general lines as the default respawn ships and have the same base cooldowns.

Respawn Ship 1: RSS Frankfurt by Weaver

This a sleeker and somewhat roomier re-envisioning of the standard yellow submarine, ready for your personal decorating touches. Elegant curves, basic oxygen system, pressure-ready cabin. Easy-find main door; never fumble around looking for the entrance when low on oxygen or energy! Rumble-platform in rear provides quick access to refinery. Stocked with a small amount of ammo, a bundle of hand tools and one personal defense weapon.


Respawn Ship 2: RSS Bluebird Hauler by jimj316

A roomy cabin provides ample towing power for all your cargo ferrying needs. Comes stocked with over 110 metric tons of base-building components and the tools to get the job done right. Please follow all strapping and docking instructions when detaching the unpowered* cargo segment. DragonNeko Industries shall not be liable for any lost or floating cargo, crushed appendages, or property damage arising from improper handling of unpowered containers.

Please note that the Bluebird is not armed for combat and should not be flown into a combat zone. In the event of an emergency, we have provided you with an assault rifle and a small amount of ammunition. The ship's computer is also pre-loaded with a rapid-index guide to prayers for salvation in all human religions and languages. Spoken automatic emergency prayers of your choice are available for a small monthly fee.

*(Well, no thrusters or gyros, it has a little power for the connectors. Also note, with the starting cargo load this is a bear to control. If it refuses to accelerate in a direction try turning slightly on any axis while thrusting).


Respawn Ship 3: RSS Gherkin by Weaver

A low-profile end-to-end ore processing platform for the avid EVA engineer. Sleek design slips easily into any natural or artificial tunnels while the twin high-power floodlights light the way for any mining or construction activity. A recessed ventral turret defends from claimjumpers and stray meteors in the open. Fully oxygenated cockpit features E-Z-recliner seat and privacy shades. Comes with a free one-month sampler supply of Smush brand hypercondensed meal-cubes for your enjoyment.


Escape Pod: RSS Escape Catbox by jimj316

For when you just need to get somewhere as fast as you can! Concealed cockpit provides maximum protection, compact turret provides defense, and standard large thruster provides the speeeeeeeeed!

(Recommend turning the thruster off whenever it's not being used. Close the micro-hanger-door hatch if you're having third person camera problems, that seems to fix it.)


Miner: RSS Mini Miner by jimj316?

A tiny mining utility vessel for all your mining utility needs. Features ACTUAL CONVEYOR CONNECTED DRILLS and a slimline docking port.

(This one came from our ship files from some months ago. I think Jim did most of the work on it.)


Misc

The screenshot background are from the Low-Earth Orbit Skybox and the lack of ugly armor edges is provided by this no-edges and no-heavy-camo dx11 post 1.095 mod (there dosen't seem to be a dx11 post-1.095 edge-remover that doesn't remove camo presently).

You may be able to use one of RB's other mods as all I used from the collection was the low-profile large ship turret; I listed the mod I built the world with.
