Stiletto Dagger Collection - Legendary

Description
LEGENDARY EDITION - REQUIRES DAWNGUARD AND DRAGONBORN

This mod adds stilettos that can be both crafted and found in loot. There's a stiletto for pretty much every standard material type and one unique one for particularly shadowy assassins. There's a vanilla version of the mod, which you can get here if you don't have the DLC.

So, what exactly is a stiletto? It's not a shoe, we can get that off the table right away. A stiletto is a knife or dagger designed not to cut, but to puncture, and the narrow blade means the wielder can get into spaces a normal dagger is too fat to get into. Because of this, stilettos are pretty much poop if you just use it like a normal dagger due to their low damage. Swinging it like the Avatar in the SNES version of Ultima 7 is just going to make you super-dead.

Exhibit A. (From Part 1 of Spoony's review of Ultima: Runes of Virtue.)

Where the stilettos excel is in assassination. If you sneak attack your foe while wielding a stiletto, they're dealt 1.5 times more damage compared to if you just smacked them, resulting in either severe wounds or death. Silver stilettos, if used against foes that are susceptible to silver, are dealt 2.5 times more damage, provided you sneak attack them of course.

As mentioned above, stilettos can be crafted or found in loot, whether it be chest loot or in the hands of an enemy. Crafting them requires the necessary perks for the material type (except for Iron). There is also a unique stiletto which can be found in Nightingale Hall.

@DEvasto thanks I'll check it out!

The mod Secret of the Silver Blades has a more historically proper parrying dagger, but the mod comes with a bunch of other weapons too and not in varying material types like the stilettos here.

I'm looking for a dagger that even somewhat resembles a real life parrying dagger and this is the best I could find right now. I say that because this one ACTUALLY has a guard. Most daggers I've seen have teeeeny tiiiiny little prongs on either side of the base of the blade. You expect me to block or deflect a weapon with that? I'd rather use my gauntlets.

Aye, though it may be a bit before I do any Fallout 4 stuff, since I dunno how long it'll be before they release modding tools for it.

You strike me as the type who'd make a very simple set of armor, but intricately detailed. Nothing super over the top. Like a light weight type of armor. One of these days hopefully, one of these days(straight to the moon)

Anyway, keep up your work. I hope to see you putting out the same type of quality when Fallout 4 hits ;)

Hah, one of these days perhaps. Armor takes a lot more than a weapon does, since not just a model needs to be made but it has to be rigged, and correctly, otherwise it'd end up looking like some eldritch mass.

Just when i stopped playing Skyrim, DEvasto sucks me back in >.>

Glad ya enjoy it. :3

The armor my character's got is the Blacktalon armor. You'll have to Google around for it though.
