[EU] VU-4 Habrok Dropship

Habrok's fill a crucial role in the Eridani Union's logistic train. As a small transport capable of both space flight and terrestial landing, they provide a strong link between the fleet and planetside assets. These craft are designed strictly to taxi personnel and equipment, they are not built to engage directly in combat. Still, they are built durable enough to fill both civilian and military roles.

The decision to make the craft VTOL capable has proved a good choice for increasing the versatility of the Habrok, particularly when exploring new terrain. This, of course, has led to poor fuel efficiency when achieving escape velocity meaning large bulk cargo must be transported to orbit in larger dedicated transports. Furthermore, the small size of the Habrok means these craft must be supported by either a larger ship, station or settlement to operate.

Habrok's are the small transport of choice for most Union operations.

Additional Notes: Been gone for two weeks since the planet release, but finally got on to update this ship.The Habrok has now been updated to be compatible with the official planets release. After much testing, the only way I could achieve orbit properly was to replace so much internal space with hydrogen tanks or generators (depending on the method of achieving orbit) that the Habrok's passenger capacity was severely limited.

As such the Habrok has been temporarily refited for atmospheric use only until a major refit can be completed to allow the ship to not only transit from surface to orbit easily, but with enough capacity to make it worthwhile.
