Description and history of the building:

The arch of Germanicus is an arch of Roman antiquity erected at Saintes in the year 18 or 19 for the emperor Tiberius, his son Drusus and his nephew and adopted son Germanicus. The Arc de Germanicus is classified as a historical monument by decree of 5 July 1905.
