Description
This is the rigging script for the Pyroland Protector character models.


I made this to help those wishing to animate the Pyroland Protector characters. The default biped script fails because these characters do not have spines, legs, or feet.


Notes


-Due to the fact that none of the PP characters have legs by which to calculate a knee offset, this rig script calculates the elbow target depending on the current bend of the character's arms. Be sure to import a default sequence, or animate the arms away from the default pose, before binding the rig script. Otherwise, you'll just have to tweak the elbows away from the default position. It's hard to explain. You'll probably see what I mean when you encounter it.

-These character arms were modeled and weighted based on actual arm anatomy(despite being cartoony), such that the wrist stays in place, while the forearm does the twisting. Certain angles created by the IK system will cause tearing or clipping issues with the wrist and some accessories. If you encounter a scenario where the wrist looks messed up or mishapen, you can fix this by rotating the forearm. Remove the rig, lock the hand bone, and then rotate the forearm to fix the twisting.

-Because these characters don't have shoulders, and their arms a little bit short, some poses won't make sense from a human perspective. I don't know what to say, you are animating anthropomorphized cartoon food after all.
