The mod is primarily multiplayer-focused — as literally stated in the very first sentence of the description. The Arab campaign only has two missions (also mentioned in the description) because the team working on it had already disbanded back then.
The two skirmish maps aren’t “copied” — they’re restored remnants from the original Altar content, which we had access to earlier than anyone else. The third one is an experimental map, as hinted by its name (beta). The macro there sometimes just decides to give up, which is an unfortunately common issue.
And the new weapons? They’re multiplayer-only .
This has always been a multiplayer mod. If that makes it a “total failure” in your eyes, then you simply misunderstood what the mod actually is.
P.S. In the Russian skirmish, their special weapon — the "Leviathan" — can't even be produced.
Sorry it took so long, been working on multiple things with little time.
Anyway, TB doesn't change missions, I don't know why there's no button.
Tried to mingle with game saves with original game, but while the original game has the button and mission can be completed, it breaks before going next mission.

So I dunno what's wrong.
