READ THIS

Hello people of the workshop !

This is the volunder mk3, a modified version of an ingame exploration find (original made by dk27552872 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=350930545&searchtext=volunder). And when i found it i decided to prepare it for planets. To do this i added such features as ...

-hangers containing, large scout ship, large mining ship, a small grid welding ship and a small grid grinding ship. All very creative names may i add.
-huge storage capacity
-fully capable factory (refinerys etc...)
-weapons systems
-A BIG HORN TO TELL PEOPLE TO GET THE F**K OUT THE WAY (aka the bwaaah button)
-hanger doors made out of conveyors which are reasonably hard to break
-fully oxygenated( my first oxygen ship, if the system sucks im sorry :'(
-cabable of landing onn planets ( takes about 50-60 secs to slow down depending on the ships angle to the planet, aslo get lots of uranium)
-jump drive
-awesome paint job

Things to bear in mind

ok so this is mainly keens fault , for some reason the ships in the hanger decide to float away from there connectors occasionally. This has only been happening in the past few updates which have affected the connectors, so be sensible no huge gyro related maneuvers but you will probably do it anyway :p . This can also happen when jumping aswell. you can blame keen for this (thereme might be a mod to get the old connectors back but im not sure). Furthermore the ships in the hanger a difficult to park, especially the scout ship it has very powerful up and forwards thrust !!!!!

How to collonise your very own planet !

1) warp volunder close to nearby planet and use the scout ship to setup a antenna on the planet at the location where you want the volunder to land
2) travel to the planet in volunder and setup a station just outside the gravitational pull. put the mining ship in this station
3) descend to planet and setup base
4) use scout ships storage to transfer materials to and from the station.

this build is currently in survival mode with starting materials but can easily be changed to creative.

Finally any feedback would be greatly appreciated down below

just wanted to add that this is a lander and cant do both but im currently working on the feature so it can !

@shudderfly saldly no, i made this ship before planets were released and had no idea they were going to add planet specific thrusters. I may update the build in future with some hydrogen thrusters so the ship can be utilized to its full potential

easiest way is to install large landing gear in hangr that locks onto the ships ( I still don't totally trust small ones.)

Another method is to fit the small ships with a pair of landing gears that sit next to it's connector, even with the lip. They will lock onto the large ship connector when you engage P

@vectorinertia honestly im not sure, about 3 months ago they would have been finne but one of the more recent updates caused them to just break everything. Moral of the story blame keen

Is there any method for keeping those ships from completely wrecking the interior while moving?

that is a lot of work retrofitting that ship
