@8t88: The reason that it's only using two ammo instead of three, is that the 2 transform mounts that I added maybe the only two that are actually dealing damage. The third one may only be cosmetic, I'm not quite sure.
People will load it up how they want, but I originally intended for it to fire x3 MG's and the payload for them to be tripled as well, so that it couldn't be "overloaded". We can't mod to that degree yet, so I just did what I could to experiment and learn more about the transforms.
The ability to pack two sets of 'Hammers on the Anvil is quite insane, considering that each slot with 'Hammers becomes a TRIPLE SET if you have one in the right-hand slot.
But if you're looking to run it more like a gunship, install a set of AC/40s in the right-hand slot, with anything else you like for the other slots. Three 40mm rounds all falling close together should make a hell of a mess.
You need to look at the A14 Raptor and the F44 Rapier II .
The former gets QUAD EVERYTHING and can carry a total load of 64 Estocs + 12 Turbo Micro-Missiles + Quad Vulcans + a Dodge system.
The latter, well... How do you think YOU would react after your enemy just unloaded EIGHT Flail MIRVs in your general direction? Just load one set of MIRVs in the right-hand slot and another set of them in any other slot. I prefer putting a regular Vulcan in the bottom weapon slot to reduce the spread of my guns, and pack Turbo Micro-Missiles and a Dodge system to round out the package.
So no, the Anvil is NOWHERE near the most over-****ing-powered Workshop aero in the game. Not by a long shot.
sill a nice hefty bomber is good to have
Also, this gunship is so overpowered if you fly it with twin RKT-H Estocs. Equipping an estoc in one slot gives you 16 rockets instead of the usual 8, and so equipping two gives you a whopping 32 rockets to spam with. Interestingly, each shot consumes two ammo at once, even though the description says the AERO shoots three shots simultaneously.
Also it'd be nice to see a more agile variant, again with twin-guns but with the stats of a DRAKON fighter.
I can see this aircraft being like a jet-propelled version of aircraft like the PBY Catalina [en.wikipedia.org] flying boat. Would be interesting to have it able to "land" on water.
