Comander Shepard - I can think of 3 reasons why your station might be drifting.
1: check your world settings. Under "Advanced" there is an option called "Station Voxel Support". If this is on, Stations can move in space (i like this on cause it seems realistic).
2: If you are playing with planets, ANY amount of gravity can pull this station in. Make sure your paste it outside of all planet gravety, even .01.
3: When you paste the station, make sure your mouse isnt moving. That movement translates into momentum, and with Station Voxel Support on, you will end up tossing the station a bit. (I like to toss warheads at stuff by "throwning" them as I paste :p )
