The Salamander was designed to be an all purpose utility vehicles, and therefore it sees service in a variety of roles. On military bases, it is often used to ferry crew and ammunition between locations. In the industrial world, it is used as a mining skiff, where its compact frame and full spotlight coverage works well for deep core mining, where it can send materials back to the surface. The Salamander even sees some use in the civilian world as a hauler for various goods across planets.

The Salamander is completely battery powered, so as to save on Uranium costs.

FLIGHT DYNAMICS

The Salamander was built and tested within a Martian Atmosphere, therefore, in theory, it should work better in thicker atmospheres, and is more responsive in lower gravity.

It has a full coverage of spotlights for flying at night or deep within mines.

Remember that the most powerful thrust is below. Therefore, bank when turning and pull up the nose when trying to stop for better results.

the timer controls the LCD, so yes it is necessary. You can easily stop the noise by going in the interface and hitting silent on the block.

Love the skiff, just a few minor issues:
-The black patch on the bottom (with the camera on it) can be replaced with a medium CC and two conveyor frames, in order to connect the two rows of cargo containers with a large conveyor pipeline.
-The green lights are... rather bad.
-The timer block makes an awful beeping/squeaking noise. Is it worth it?

Awesome build. I got something equal in purpose but not half that good of a design on our survival DS. Great work.
