AT-PT

Description
As seen in the expanded universe of Star Wars and built by Kuat Drive Yards, the All Terrain Personal Transport is a light anti-infantry walker. Standing at 4 meters high, its a smaller walker. Armed with a twin laser cannon it can shred groups of infantry or hostile fauna with ease. The AT-PT has room for one pilot, though in case of emergency troops can ride ontop of it. This is the first in the line of walkers I will be releasing.

Update 2: Completely rebuilt from the ground up, now almost precisely 4m tall. LEss parts and smaller size mean easier production and maintenance. Switched from old Star Wars weapons pack to new one, blaster cannonsadjusted accordingly.

Features:

-Walking! Yes, the AT-PT can actually mosey on through the battlefield, it isnt particularly fast though.

-Firepower! Featuring a twin blaster cannon, the AT-PT can turn one trooper effectively into a whole squad. The walker is able to pivot its gun (see operating manual below) downwards to attack hostile troops and creatures.

-Cheap! Made up almost entirely of light armor, the AT-PT wont put much strain on your wallet to build.

-Reliable! Featuring the advanced Joint Protection System, the AT-PT has low maintenance requirements for its legs. The JPS is a series of very low power shields placed in each critical leg piece that will absorb the wear and tear of moving around or any minor physics glitches.

!Important Operating Notes!

-Walking/Leg actuators: The AT-PT essentially scuttles along the ground, the leg actuation is done through a series of timer blocks that go in sequence to complete the entire motion cycle. The walking cycle (Started by pressing 3 in the pilots toolbar) should only be initiated while both legs are in the neutral position (hips poining upwards) and both foot locks are in UNLOCKED setting. The walking cycle can be stopped by pressing the 'All Joints Halt Switch' (4 in the pilots toolbar). The second page in the toolbar features manual leg positioning, this is to be used in certain scenarios. These scenarios include, but are not limited to, damage/malfunction of the Main Drive Computer System resulting in loss of automatic walking, pilots need to move legs individually/at a slow pace, reseting one or both legs after stopping the automatic walking process. Because the walking process is accomplished through a series of timer blocks the AT-PT moves rather slowly, though it is definitely faster than walking (And looks immensely cooler!).

-Pitching the gun: Aiming the gun up or down can be acomplished by lowering the torque of the Main Drive Joints (switches available in the second page of the pilots toolbar). Because the AT-PT is designed for engaging hostile infantry the maximum upwards pitch is below the horizon line and the minimum point blank infront of the walker.

-Explosive Rotor Syndrome: The biggest threat to any walker pilot, ERS is caused by a number of factors. Most causes of ERS are unfortunately random and unavoidable. The symptoms of ERS include, but are not limited to, one or both legs falling off, one or more joints falling off, leg/joint freezing and/or locking up, legs or joints exploding and causing damge to the walker, complete and total annihilation of the walker, crash to desktop, and occasionally seperation of the cabin from the legs and recreation of 'Team Rocket blasting off again' (Not kidding, left a planets SOI once because of ERS).
Here is a list of all currently known causes of ERS; walking across any base built into a planets surface can sometimes cause ERS. Locking one or both feet while at any random angle on a base will almost always result in ERS. Walking across normal planetary terrain seems fine under all circumstances. Moving up or down any form of block based ramp (In example the ramps from the armor ramps mod) will usually cause ERS, its around a 50% chance of occurence.
Here are the current operating guidelines to minimize your chance of ERS; Walk across bases at 45 or 90 degree angles (try to walk as straight a course as possible), avoid locking both feet while on a base, have a lift/elevator or naturally occuring ramp into your base (Using voxel hands in creative).

Mods Used:
-Azimuth Complete Mod Pack
-Small Ship Mega Mod Pack
-Encased Gyroscopes
-Star Wars weapons and more pack
-Armor without edges replacement (Not necessary, highly recommended though.)
-Maglock Surface Clamp V2
-Beta Energy Shields
-Reworked Armor Ramps
-Reworked Armor Panels

Maintenance/Production notes:
The fuel receptacle is located on the belly. A maintenance terminal is available on the belly for systems diagnostics and regular calibration of the leg actuators. This walker stands at roughly 4m tall, though the scaling is not perfect as there isnt a lot fo resource material for the AT-PT. The legs are also thicker than the actual ones on the AT-PT, this was necessary for redundacy and damage protection on the legs. The footpads are slightly longer than they should be to help with stability. The gyroscopes are placed underneath the pilots seat to move the center of mass forward.

!Disclaimer!
Please feel free to use this walker however you want, just please give credit to the original author (me)

These things are good against troops but
ineffective against spacecraft and most
tanks.

These things are very fast when they walk,
faster than the AT-ST even. But they have
REALLY weak armor.........
