A user on one of the SE workshop pages has figured out a solution to the issue everyone is having with stationary weapons so i will paste it here and hopefully you can figure out a solution from there:

"Figured out a quick fix for the weapons, basically SE atm expects every small gatling type weapon to have a barrel model with apropriate empties, to fix mine i just made a tiny cube as a barrel that is basically invisible and set up the projectile muzzle empties on that."

I cant use the guns for some reason like they dont even appear in the hotbar or any wear at that matter...

Pokeking, it actually depends on the round that the gun is fireing, some rounds are made to frag ment in side of hull rather than expload, or some are almost completely explosive rather than armor penatrating explosive, kinda like artillary. there is like a million differnt rounds but one thing i know is that you cant just say that tanks use this round and not explain the concept of differnt rounds, even though you are right.

R@ ShoopShoop: Actually, tank and warship cannons are designed to use rounds that penetrate armor and explode after impact and not on impact as a round that gets past the hull (armor) before it explodes will almost certainly wreck the recieving vehicle or section of ship, where as a round that explodes on impact and doesn't even dig into the hull before it explodes will simply destroy some or all the armor plating and barely do anything to the inside and may disorient, injure, or kill some crew, but requiring a second or third shot to actually disable the vehicle or section of ship. Not only do delayed explosive armor-percing rounds save money on ammunition, but eliminate the extra time to reload more than once.
