Wyvern - Atmospheric Fighter
No mods, no rotors, survival ready.

Speed and agility are the cornerstones of this light fighter.

The Wyvern is the culmination of everything I learned designing the Blood Ravens and Broadhead. I did away with a lot of the unnecessary directional thrusters and designed her to be a pure atmospheric fighter. The vast majority of her thrusters are directed at the ground and behind her, so she's got exceptional maneuvering and excelleration. More than anything though, the Wyvern makes you feel confident. She corners hard and predictably. None of the other ships I've flown have ever made me feel as comfortble going flat out through canyons as the Wyvern does. It is an absolute blast to fly and I hope you give the Wyvern a try.

<Warning> The Wyvern is intended to be flown much like an actual plane or helicoptor. 90% of its thrusters are aimed downward and behind it. You need to use your downward facing thrusters for cornering, just rotate the ship and pull up into the turn the same way you would in an actual fighter. If you're having trouble getting the hang of it, watch the attached video for an example.

11/28@12PM - Moved the small reactors located beneath the cockpit and added a vent to provide oxygen. New pictures and 360 video uploaded.
11/28@1AM - Design change to the cockpit/nose of the plane. Added a rocket launcher so the ship packs a little more punch. I'll upload new photos/360 video tomorrow.
11/27@10PM - Removed one downard facing Small Atmospheric Thruster and added 3x small generators, the reactors were overloading during high speed maneuvering. It still happens, just less frequently. One reactor can be fueled through the cockpit, and the other two small reactors can be accessed from the bottom of the ship. The landing gear was also raised 1 block (so it's now flush with the bottom of the ship) and the gyroscopes located between the downward facing thrusters have been moved.
