Dragonfish Class Cruiser (Rev. 2)

The Dragonfish is a light cruiser based on an englarged Narwhal class destroyer hull. Special attention was given to the most fragile parts of the ship, and the result is a hardy, quick design with the ability to return sigificant firepower.

A new engine was developed to meet the fleet's need for larger powerplants. The new cross-design puts out 3200 power while merely sipping on fuel. This has allowed for rather thorough use of shielding to fend off explosive rounds.

Four turrets mounting twin 8-inch guns provide accurate artillery fire at long range, while an assortment of 48mm AA guns and vertical-launch missiles fend off anything daring to come close enough.

For defense, the Dragonfish has a full compliment of missile-interceptor/decoys and smoke dispensors.
