Noin's Mod

Description
Mod, containing various gameplay and visual changes. Requires Tibbles' Racial Class Unit Reskin Mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=519678240) and both DLCs to function.

Main parts of the mod are:

1. Ranged Combat Overhaul

Changes to how Inflict Status abilities work, hiding behind an obstacle gives your units protection from being Stunned or Immolated, changes to abilities themselves (Shoot Heavy Crossbow is a full action now for example, with a chance to deal extra damage on every shot. Throw Stones is a free action with 1 turn CD. etc)
1shot abiltites now recieve +2 damage per medal instead of +1 as before.

2. Class/race diversity

More changes to how each race/class combination feels. Dwarf hunters throw axes now, while Elven fanatic deals small amounts of Shock damage in melee.

3. Visual changes and tweaks

Draconian Raptors are bigger now while the riders are smaller, Goblin Huge Beetle is a one figure unit instead of three, Dwarven Firstborn is alone as well. He can manage without his bros.

4. Balance tweaks

I changed some things I thought were too weak or too strong.

5.Dec 2015 latest changes:
Various visual fixes
More balancing
Dwarven Hunter throws axes, only 7 base damage but has a high chance to Break Guard
Inflict Visual Effects are fixed now!
All engineers are tier 2 now, with a bit higher stats
Dwarven Engineer has Overload instead of Fast Reload
Draconian Raptor has a changed appearance, deals 9 phis 4 fire instead of 6/6 as before.
Poison Dart/Moskito Dart now have a chance to cause Berserk, used to be Break Spirit.

Now I am working on:
more changes to Dreadnought
few things for a warlord

Hey love the work you've done, just thought i'd mention something that I felt was strange. The draconian raptor's increased size suits them well but I thought you might consider making them a one model unit to better show the strength of these larger more intimidating mounts.

Happy to hear you guys like my mod! I am on the pause from Age of Wonders right now, but I will try to find some time and change the Blow Mosqitoes skill to make it less powerful. Cheers!

I love the mod also. I agree with Sir Toine though Berserk from swarm darters is a bit over powered. That would be my only complaint.

hey there. really like the changes you did there, very cool mod.
only thing that bother is that the berserk status inflicted by darters is a tad too strong imho.
i figured something like panicked for 1 turn would be more appropriate.

The changes are great and make for battles that require more tactical thinking, especially where rangted units are involoved. This is definitely getting bumped up to be one of my favorites.

I didn't make a full list of changes yet but I am pretty sure some of them will surprise you. And some units have a very different role now.

Very cool. I was a bit surprised when I moved my dwarf crossbow in for a close range shot only to find he could only make the shot with 3 action points. I guess it helps to read the fine print! :steamfacepalm:
