Grendel Class Transport

Description
My submission for the 21st UESC construction contest.

The Grendel Class Transport fills the duel role of both Gunship and Dropship. It has a carrying capacity of six people, not counting the pilot. There is ample cargo storage space for ammunition for long runs, as well as a connector and small conveyor system.

Mass is approximately 75,000 KG unladen.

Enough Thrusters to stop and go

The Grendel comes equipped with four forward facing revolving gatling cannons, as well as two swivel side-mounted gatling turrets.

Powered by two large reactors.





Creator's Notes:

I've updated the ship and removed the engine pods that you can see in the image here. Now, they're static and part of the ship. The engine pods that I had were on a rotor and they made the ship too difficult to control. Now the ship's control is easy and more fluid.

Hm.... no. As I recall, the transport vessel in BSG has a side opening door, and the bottom of the ship flanges out towards the sides. The Grendel is my own design, with inspiration taken from the AC-130A's side-mounted gatling guns.
